Every day i wake up i see a free sample size shampoo in a magazine or i am sent an email saying i have recieved a gift of shampoo. I think there is way to much shampoo in the world. If only there could be as much food as there is shampoo every one would be happy.

Thats just sarcasm, directed at the shampoo and hair treatment industry. I have also come across some subscriptions to magazines which are new. Another sign that this freebie marketing is becoming really successful and booming globally.

Back to talking about shampoo, in the bottom of my shower i have about 300 different samples from different brands. Sure its messy but it beats going down to the supermarket and having to stock up for a few months. Another item which i have recieved in excess of has been sample face washes. I don't really wash my face much other than the shower so they are also going to waste, but im sure there successful in there own way for different companies.

So it is evident that shampoo, new magazine subscriptions and face cleansers are given out to excess by companies as part of there marketing plans. These industries could and probably should cut back on off loading so much of there new products to customers and they will save a lot of money. But by saying that, financially it obviously doesn't affect them much, and giving out of so much sample products has most likely led to them being in a strong financial position.
